Delta 8 is a well-known psychoactive component in cannabis. It is similar but less potent than Delta 9. Delta 8  also has euphoric effects. Delta 8 breaks down into the same metabolites that the illegal cannabis does. Current drug test, test for these metabolites. If you have these metabolites in your urine it will show as positive. The quick answer is yes, Delta 8 can cause you to fail a drug test. 

There is no direct researched evidence but many individuals including current customers found that delta 8 helps them sleep at night.  One customer wrote that she is finally able to sleep and she had the best night of sleep in a while after using delta 8.
